It might seem a little old-school, but yes—I still offer hand-drawn storyboards! Even though digital boards are an option, a lot of my clients actually prefer the traditional approach. There’s something about the feel of hand-drawn lines that brings an energy and spontaneity to the work. Plus, it’s a much faster process, which is a big advantage when time is tight. On a good day, I can produce around 25 hand-drawn frames—a pace that’s hard to match digitally. I tend to use this method for advertising projects with smaller budgets or tight deadlines, where speed is key, and for film and television projects with complex sequences. In those cases, it’s more important to clearly communicate the action and composition than to create polished, highly rendered illustrations. When directors, cinematographers, and editors are making crucial decisions, having a set of strong, readable boards is what really matters.
